Be warned: your MP3 player is a risk to your health!
…and we’re not just talking about excessive volume blurring music straight into your ear drums. It seems New South Wales Police force has issued some new advertising campaigns to warn against changing your track selection whilst crossing the road.
The campaign shows a number of lifeless bodies, with the white headphone cable marking the outline instead of the usual white chalk line. It’s an ingenious campaign visual and a timely reminder to consider the rules of road whilst listening to your favourite tracks.

Great idea for an ad - but really, what a topic!
Adverts educating the public about drink driving/speeding/dangers of smoking/drugs&helplines all good and relevant and essentially effects everyone...
but an ad asking people not to change track whilst crossing the road!! surely thats a no brainer (and I know you could say the same for a number of the points mentioned above).
whats next: heres a few ideas for the next government campaigns: *dont read while driving
*dont walk left or right when your half way up a ladder
*dont try breathing underwater
*dont look suspisious in an airport
I say this without seeing the figure for just how many accidents have been caused by MP3's on the roads but couldnt New South Wales have just bought the old favourite hedgehog road saftey ads ("king of the road" stop/look/listen) and spent the money on raising awareness about a more common social danger?
